2011 GMC Sierra Won't Start

My 2011 GMC Sierra will not crank unless boosted off with another vehicle
and jumper cables.   I check the battery with a multimeter and it shows 12.8
volts.   Jumped it off and it started and the multimeter shows alternator
charging at 14.8 volts.   Will not start after killing the engine.   Could it be
starter or loose connection???

The battery connections are all good? leave meter leads touching the battery posts, have helper turn key to crank while you watch the meter reading, does the reading drop at all, how much does it drop? If it drops, it shouldn't drop below 9.6 volts or there about. If it drops way down there, that isn't going to work. Another thought, you may have voltage drop on some of the systems? Cranking all your systems get battery voltage. Engine running, all your systems get generator voltage, that can be several volt difference.
