Timing chain louder after replacement

My chevy traverse needed a new timing chain. Didnt sound to
bad but definate power loss. Had the timing chain replaced.
It has way more power. But it sounds like the chains are just
flopping around in there. Really loud. And doesnt start up as
easily. But starts. This was a 3000 dollar fix. Should i be
concerned by the noise? Also at shut off it sounds like
marbles shaking around for about 30 sec.

take it back to the shop that did the work. I have a 1996 pick up truck and had the same issue when I realized I lost my time chain. there was a HUGE puddle under the motor yet, it was not my water pump. DO NOT drive it around and destroy the motor. Straight to the shop as I did to my truck. it was about a $1200 job ( for about $40 in parts). BUT, I have a car and enjoy what it does for me. I had to make a decision.. car or junk yard
How much did they charge you ? Mine was making a loud ticking sound yesterday then it just lock on me now power nothing so im thinking its the timing chain ...
The chain is a very expensive fix. I paid 3000 dealerships want over 5. If the power went it was done and in bad shape for a long time. Your check engine would have been on. Sounds like it might be your alternator. Loud ticking can also happen when running with little to no oil. The timing chains are really bad in this vehicle though.
