Why won't it start after it ran out of gas

It may take several 'key cycles' in order to get fuel pushed through the fuel system and for pressure to build up. To cycle the key, insert the key and turn it to run without starting. You should hear the fuel pump cycle on a for a few seconds. After it cycles off, turn the key to the off position and wait a few seconds then repeat.
