Engine duration about Chevrolet camaro

Asked by Thathkuma Mar 11, 2018 at 04:35 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm planning to buy a Chevrolet Camaro
2010 which has done 150 000 miles. So if I
bought it do I need to replace the engine?
And what are the other repairs and
maintenance (because of 150 000 miles) I
should do after buying the car?
Thank you,

It all depends............... on the present condition and how well you maintain it after you buy it. It could go another 50k to 100k but there is no way I can tell. Have a mechanic check it out. At that many miles there could be a LOT of repairs due soon. How many miles a year do you drive?

Planning to drive like 20000-30000 miles. Do you have any idea within how many miles it's necessary to replace the engine?

If you do 25,000 a year the car will have 250,000 on it in 4 years. If you have a 4 year loan you may be buying a new car before this one is paid off. I suggest a lower mile car - under 100,000 miles.
