1998 chevrolet camaro z28 water pump light on not overheating

Asked by DianeBCA Oct 19, 2020 at 07:31 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1998 Chevrolet Camaro z28 radiator light keeps coming on and off past
few months now it is staying on. My car is not overheating and the car seems
to be running fine. Checking the radiator its full and all fluids good. Can it be
the sensor or how can I tell if my pump is going out? Also I live on 10 dirt
road ranch suddenly my abs keeps going off. Can that happen from the
concrete dust from my gravel road? I would like to find a great mechanic in
my area if anyone knows one who works on my car model in Brentwood,
Antioch California area. Any recommendations highly appreciated

If you're talking about the low coolant level light, unplug the coolant level sensor and start the engine. If the light is now out, the sensor is bad. The sensor is a little square box clamped to the radiator, usually on the passenger's side and about 4 inches from the top of the radiator. Hope that helps! Jim
