Used 2015 Camaro engine light

Let me start with this, I am a female. I have always liked muscle cars so I
bought myself a 2015 Camaro LS, used. One owner, not salvaged, through a
dealership... they worked on the AC, changed a bulb, and some tire sensors.
Three days ago I heard an unusual sound when turning the cold AC on but I
brushed it off since I was only able to hear it for about 5 sec. Car was
absolutely normal, then I got a car wash, and I was running out of gas so I
got some gas. The gas dispenser handle kept coming out so I had to secure
it twice but the gas station overall was sketch; probably had nothing to do. I
had a hard time tightening the gas cap but when I tried to start my car, it
would not. I got scared, I just got this car 8 weeks ago! Tried again and it
shook a bit but it turned on in less time. No lights came up and I had no
issues. Drove home, turned off, and it turned on fine without wait like nothing
ever happened. This morning it started fine and no more AC noise BUT the
check engine light came up... it's not flashing, so that's good. But I am
wondering if a lose gas cap would cause this problem? I will tighten right
now and see, but I am also taking to AutoZone to scan the code. Anyone
else had this problem?
