MY CAR WONT START BECAUSE OF A SECURITY LOCK AND I DONT KNOW WHY. IS THERE SOME WAY TO OVER RIDE IT OR IF SO JUST TAKE IT OUT?

Hello, There can be many causes for the security lock. It can be caused by having the system reset and not re-enabled (i.e. by a place like Jiffy Lube). My 97 z28 has that problem. I measured the resistor in the key and no made a new resistor. I had to be put it in a connector under the steering wheel. It fires right up but the car will not start without it. Haven't had a problem since.
