Swap tranny from 1995 3.4 camaro to 1994 z28

I have a 1995 convertible camaro with a 3.4 and auto transmission......motor is bad....Guy
is trying to sell me a 1994 z28 (5.7) with bad auto transmission.....will the 3.4 tranny swap
in behind the v8?
