Sounds to me like your battery terminals need cleaning. Had same problem with my Pontiac. Al lights and dinging in car worked because there was enough of a connection for that light electrical load;, but when I went to start the car the battery kept cutting out and everything went "dead" - and I could not jump start it. Reason was battery terminals were not making good contact with the battery cable connectors. I disconnected the cables, sprayed everything with WD-40, reconnected cables and BINGO - started right up.

If you know battery is good and well connected, try a voltage drop test to the starter (see attached pic). Can also try swapping out starter relay.
