Rough idle and misfiring at lower rpms. If I stomp on it it seems to run smoother. Replaced fule filter, cap and rotor, pcv valve, crank and cam position sensors, mass air flow sensor,.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After all parts were replaced I disconnected both
battery cables and touched them together per a
mechanics suggestion to "clear the computer ".
Would a dirty egr cause this? Please help.

"clear the computer " ? was there a code ? you can clean the IAC port , test or replace IAC valve , you can just pull the - batt. cable to clear codes on that truck , I wouldn't put the two batt. terminals together though
