Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I have a 93 Tbird and my check engine light comes on. Now I'm pretty sure I don't have a cat it's just a stright
pipe now could that be why. It may think the cat is still in or maybe it's just a oxy senser.

yes it is more then likely on do to its o2sensor reading is telling it to come on cause the reference signalon the lower o2 sensor is following the upper o2 sensors reading ,when the lower is not suppose to it actual job is to monitor the un burnt fuel in the cat converter , so yes is the answer more then likely cause the cat converter is missing.
