How to replace check engine light bulb on 96 T-Bird LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can't pass smog due to check engine light not working. Checked it with code reader and
it shows check engine light IS on... so gotte change the bulb.
Can you point me to diagram and or helpful tips?

Here is a link to a Ford owners forum. You may get more info there if this doesn't work. http://www.fordforum.com/forum/ Now, to replace the bulb. I am not sure on your model if you need to pull the instrument cluster to change it or if you can get small enough to get behind the dashboard to pull the bulb and replace it. Either way, you just pull the old bulb and push in the new one.

Ah, excellent. I will take a gander on said forum. Unfortunately my days of getting small enough are long gone but perhaps I can find an Asian lady who could fit AND walk on my back after handing me a drink. Ha ha, a joke. Or was it? Thanks again Oldtimer.
