Opinions vary. I have to agree that GM has been, in my opinion, churning out poor quality vehicles for about 20 years now. I was a GM fan until about 10 years ago when I bought my '02 Impala. That's when I learned, the hard way, about the now famous intake manifold failures on the '97 thru '03 3.8L V6, transmission failures (twice in 135,000 miles), electrical problems that can't be fixed, etc., etc., etc. Cadillac was the first division to go with it's disastrous HT-4100 engine in 1982! The rest followed in the late '90s. My '93 Caprice, which I bought brand new was a good car. I had it for 19 years. But by comparison my '08 Grand Marquis is a better one. By the time the Caprice was as old as the Grand Marquis is now, I was on radiator number 2, and the transmission had long since failed and had to be repaired twice in 1996. GM trucks seem to still be good. However now that the Silverados are getting years and miles on them I'm seeing camshaft and transmission failures. What has become commonplace, like head gasket failures, were unheard of. No wonder GM filed for bankruptcy!! Just my opinion. -Jim

I have never liked the new Camaro. Looks good on the outside, but the interior is cheap, cheap, cheap. They have had their share of problems also. Ford's Mustang, although not perfect, is a much better choice in the 2 door sport coupe category. Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.
