How much mileage can I get when my low fuel light comes on in my 2009 pontiac G6?

Do Not Let your tank get below half (ok quarter if your tight ); running on empty is not good for your car.
If the light comes on you have already went to far. I do not advise to run your fuel tank down below a quarter of a tank left. In tank fuel pumps are cooled by the gas in the tank. So when you run it low there is a chance of running out of gas. When you run it out of gas you might be having to install a new fuel pump due to it over heating with no gas in the tank to keep it cool. Also any trash or condensation in the tank gets picked up when fuel is low. So now we are possibly replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter and all the fuel injectors. Large price tag of repairs all because we did not feel like pumping a little gas in the tank. IMO anyways.

I wanted some info on my tranny and my guy knew nothing . I knew what I needed but NOBODY (my guy and a handful of others in town) knew what a vacuum modulator was -(... never mind after market vs original design) I finally down-loaded an ATSG shop manual and under-lined the section on vac modulator and taught my guy what to do......past my bedtime,good-night.
P.S. -just before a drag my body up-stairs. Family got together last Thursday for my wife's 39th birthday :) & ,;) and my daughter saw me typing. She said " Dad- you finally are using E mail!"
