Starter retracts too soon..

Asked by Chris Feb 29, 2016 at 08:18 AM about the 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass 4 Dr GL Sedan

Question type: General

Just yesterday morning I drove my car, started fine,
no problems at all... later that afternoon, I went to
start my car, but didn't work.. I turned the key,
which for about 1 second sounded like it would
start, but then it just gave out.. the starter retracted
too soon. Is it just the the starter is going out, or
could I be having electrical problems?

Yeah, decided to do that later today after work... just incase it was the starter not electrical problems. Taking it to be tested.. Will get back with the results
