Why is my truck leaking fluid

My 1996 Ford explore 4.0 is leaking fluid from
underneath the battery area

Best advice is to put your head in the puddle and look up. Might be the battery leaking, or maybe the power steering, or a leaking shock. Maybe it's a transmission cooler line or a crack in the radiator (From what I remember about my "96 Explorer, I believe the reservoir is on the other side).

Right , find out what it is first , red-tranny , dark-oil , dark red-power steering , gas-gas .
