my 91 300zx wont rev over 3500 rpm

i bought a 91 nissan 300zx in september 2013 and it ran great sat in a shop over the
winter and now after it warms up the idle bounces between 300 and 2000 and when in
gear it wont go past 3500rpm and runs terrible above 3000rpm i checked the tps sensor
by unplugging it and driving it around but nothing happened not sure what else to check i
cant find the scanner the scanner plug in either thanks
