300zx Clutch wont engage

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was working fine on my way to work. Got on the freeway put on the cruise control and about 30 minutes later when I went to shift as I was exiting, I couldn't. I don't see any leaking, though I am going to double check.  Never heard any wierd noises coming from the clutch, there was no indication that anything was going bad. Any ideas? This happened once before with my 280 Zx. the slave cylinder just went out while I was at a stop light, so I'm thinking this may be the same problem?

Its probably the slave cylinder. I have run into this issue twice since I bought my 1987 in 90. Check to see if the clutch fluid is low - if so - that is the marker - take to the nearest Nissan repair expert - new one with install should not run more than $300 and should be done in a few hours. You will be bak to new - that or take your chances and drive with clutcj fluid to top off after every road trip.
