Loud blowing noise from motor

My 2002 Nissan pathfinder making a loud blowing
noise when accelerating,  what could it be?

My guess is the fan clutch is engaged. If it does this all the time then the clutch needs replacing. Then again your car may have an electric fan in which case you can ignore the previous information.
