2014 nissan pathfinder 4 wheel drive has a humming noise coming from the rear
at low speed it is not as noticeable, under 30 mph. as I increase speed it increases in a humming noise ?
I would check the tire condition (tread smoothness and roundness) and pressures first, then move on to checking the transfer case fluid and rear differential fluid levels. If all are okay I would suspect a bad U-joint or wheel bearing.
i would think wheel bearing especially if the sound changes with speed or hard cornering
You could have several things I would check the tires to see if they are scalloped uneven tread wear which is caused from not rotating tires or bad shocks. It could be a noise in the rear end internally or you could have a bad wheel bearing is what it sounds like or otherwise they axle bearing
When get speed up the rear end wines
