Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I blew my motor 2 months ago, and I had it
changed. The car ran fine but my mechanic said
you have to change your cam position sensor
because the car would turn over do nothing you
turn the car off then turn it again in the car would
start. My fuel pump went this past week my friend
and I changed it but for some reason the fuel
pump is not getting any signal to send fuel to the
combustors. Fuses under the hood are good fuel
pump is brand new so I thought it was the relay
change the relay and still nothing I'm lost. The car
did start when we spray carburetor fluid in there
but it ran for five to seven seconds and then cut off
can someone please help me I'm really lost it's
going to be winter soon and I need my car I don't
want to get rid of it I love my Maxima

I would suspect the crank sensor, can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the switch on? If no check voltage at the pump when the switch is turned on the pump should run for 2-10 seconds if not check the pump ground wire then follow the power wire it may have gotten pinched during the engine installation hope this helps you
