Steering Column replacement

My 2000 Mercury Sable actuator rod broke. I found a car at
the local pap yard. If I change the columns out will this
interfere with the anti theft system?

If you remove the original lock cylinder and pats sensor ring from your column and install it on the replacement column, the anti theft system will not be affected. If a different lock cylinder and key must be used, you will have to have the new key programmed into the pats module by a dealer.
