If Subaru specifies 5W30 there is NO WAY I would use 0 weight oil. Use synthetic though.

What does the owners manual specify? I'm sure it's synthetic oil....and depending on where you live makes a difference... just my opinion.

The manual wrote, " Your vehicle is designed to use 5W-30 conventional motor oil, however, 5W-30 synthetic may be used for optimum engine performance.".
