No vtec/redlining sooner

Asked by Excel_1989 Feb 23, 2017 at 01:51 AM about the 1998 Honda Accord Coupe LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 accord coupe with a 92 jdm
type s h22a swap, my vtec stopped
working and it started redlining at 7 grand
as apposed to 8 grand like it should, i
noticed a wire to the vtec solenoid came
off, if i sauter it back on will my vtec work
and increase my revs? As well as simply
doing an oil change?
