Transmission problems

Asked by Bigsteve96 Dec 31, 2016 at 05:43 AM about the 1997 Honda Accord Coupe EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When i shift in to drive the car wont move the
engine will only rev. If i sit there of a couple
minutes in drive with my foot on the brake then
release the brake it will move. The same thing
happens when i shift into reverse except that if i
pull the shifter back slowly it will work just fine. Ive
already checked to fluid level and it right at thr full
mark.

This is common problem on your year car, take look at the shift solenoid, below is link on how to test it and there should be a you tube on how to change it, good luck.
