Suspected electronics issue —Jeep

Asked by SLP13634 Jun 16, 2019 at 09:36 AM about the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2013 Jeep Sahara Unlimited. During
heavy rain on interstate my Jeep
shuts off completely. I steer over to
the side of the road, put in park and
try to restart.  It won’t turn over...so I
wait so I don’t run battery down. 5
min later it starts right up.  It like
something gets wet, shorts out, and
then dries. Dealership warned me
that they would have to go through all
the wiring at $100/hr. Is there a
direction I could point them in first to
save time and $$$? Thanks in
advance.
