May be a fuel issue. I would check the fuel pressure. It should be like 5 to 9 lbs.

Check for a clogged air filter.

Ok I have to advance the timing all the way it runs like it supposed too when the distributor is at low timing. When in drive and you give it gas it bogs down and it has no power until it gets out of 3rd. Also can it run on exhaust stroke like 180 degrees off I have put it on top dead center the rotor is pointing at #1 tower but the idle is like it supposed to be when the timing is where it supposed to be

On the timing when you set it, are you unplugging the brown wire before setting the timing?
