Engine won't turn over

Asked by Robert Oct 04, 2017 at 08:35 PM about the 2000 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab Stepside SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed one day my truck was having a hard time
starting. So I took it up to AutoZone to get the
battery alternator and starter checked, they told me
I had a bad battery. Put in the new battery started
up with no problems now all of a sudden my truck
won't start I get one click then nothing I've looked
online everywhere and it points out to be an
ignition switch or a starter, anyone out there know
what's going on?

Check ALL your cables at both ends. Could be a frayed cable. Check solonoid. If that does not fix it, you may need to get a new starter.
