You might want to remove and inspect the multifunction switch and the lightswitch. aside from burnt out bulbs, those systems can have resistance building up at connections and draw current to operate, but the connectors and the individual wire ends can be found to need replacement at the switch connections. Your dealer should be able to provide new repair connectors in motorcraft, to correct. They may also have a supply of less expensive attempts to duplicate the original but save some money. If you remove your old switch and connector, you can match them up pretty quick. Some applications, I have used the extended repair kit and the wires were over a foot long. You would also run resistance tests and put an end to the suffering connections in the rest of your light harness.
