Overdue oil change

Asked by GuruLS3BJ Apr 10, 2019 at 12:02 AM about the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Sportline

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Today my engine light went on and as I was driving
up a hill my car just would barely move. I
eventually found out I was 2000 miles overdue on
my oil change(I don’t know if that is why it
stopped) . Do you think my car will need a new
engine ?

1 Answer

Change and oil religiously every 3K Miles; because the engine is air cooled, it is tougher on the engine oil. Change it: my kindergartener can do it without difficultly, what's wrong with you?
