This could start an oil change war! But why not tell the truth? first there is no such thing as synthetic oils, They are derived from the same crude oil, natural gas, or other chemical feed materials; however, as a general rule they are more processed...that's it, yet are priced @ x2 x3 the cost of "regular" oil. The additives in oil, all oils have and use additives breakdown with thermodynamic cycles overtime, so the argument is use expensive oil for longer intervals or more miles. I prefer just good oil and will change it every 5000-6000 miles. YOU decide which oil is best for YOU and your vehicle, review your owners manual and follow it, pretty safe, or spend time studying oil for a PhD ... in Lubricity. I just use lab analysis of oil it's enough for me! Oh yeah change the filter too.... get ready for all the crazy comments.
