My Civic won't fire

Asked by jackwrath Aug 17, 2011 at 10:05 PM about the 1994 Honda Civic Coupe DX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No spark. Changed distributor, tried different ECM, checked continuity on all conductors from distributor to ECM, check fuel, main relay checks good, checked TDC, getting frustrated.

do you mean TDC as in "top dead center" or DTC as in "diag. trouble codes?" anyways, same thing happened to me. for me it turned out to be a burned out ignition coil inside the distributor. hope it helps

im assuming you "changed the distributor" with a new one? im also assuming you checked ALL your fuses? sorry to sound so harsh, but sometimes we overlook the simple things

just because the dist. may be new doesnt always mean its good. the dist. houses all the ign. components on those i believe so u may have to get an etm and check inputs if u dont have any dtc's
