Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015 - intermittent starting issue

Asked by Robert Feb 02, 2018 at 08:14 AM about the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've experienced it a few times when cold (30 degrees or lower).  Push the
button, no crank, needle drops.  What I've done in the past is turn on the
headlights and wait 5 minutes and the car will start.  Battery tested fine,  Whats
the issue?

I am not sure...because I have a 2001 Classic Cherokee Sport..and the reason why my Jeep stalled when slowing down to a stop and would not re-start was the alternator. It was at 162,000 miles. But back to 2015: MAYBE your alternator OR there is something going on in the computer/control module, OR the ignition switch..So many details. I wish you the best.
