to turn pistons to bleed my brakes. I know MDI will
but it is way to expensive, is there a different one

Take it to the local Chevy Dealership and let them do it. Scan tools that can operate the ABS pump are expensive.

I know but I rather buy the tool and have it so my bf can just do repairs on my car. Tired of the prices at a dealership. Plus they just told us you really only need it for trucks that my car shouldnt even need it to change the caliper....guess we will find out.

There are scan tools that will diagnose and or reset the abs system in newer cars but as for the bleeding itself thats done by having 2 people and 1 person sits in the car and presses on the brake while the other person lets the air out of the brake line slowly till only liquid comes out of the brake line. The scan tool basically resets the brake booster or the abs pump that assists in the braking process. The scan tool you would need is a bi-directional obd2 scanner/reader/programmer.You can find them on amazon or Ebay but it has to be a bi- directional.
