Air Conditioning Issue and Center Console Issue

Asked by Goodski411 Jun 10, 2019 at 03:29 PM about the 2015 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just purchased a 2015 Explorer XLT in April, and am just now noticing that the air conditioning is not cold. I have 48,XXX miles on it, and am wondering if this is normal? I did read somewhere that if the third row heat is on, that the front A/C won't work. That is not the case, so I am wondering if I have a leak, maybe? Also, the center console heat/air has no power to it. I noticed a wire under my driver's seat on the floor...and wondered it it was related. I am unsure where that wire needs to be connected, because I cannot see underneath the actual seat. I read that it might be fuses causing the lack of power to the console, so I will check that, as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wires under the seat usually relates to power seats or seat belts. If the wire trails off under the carpet, it's probably that. Removing the seat from the vehicle is not difficult.
