F150 4x4 IWE

Asked by Guru5FHQK Feb 06, 2018 at 07:53 AM about the 2014 Ford F-150 STX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I installed a 2” leveling kit on my f150 and right after
I started hearing a click. Found that the 4x4 hub or
iwe was tore. So I replaced it and it lasted about
two weeks. Got another replacement thinking could
have been a bad part but now that one went bad. Is
there anything that could be taking this thing out? I
also installed a new bearing hub assembly before
this so that’s ok.

Sometimes monkeying around with ride heights causes issues. I really never understood the leveling thing anyway. Trucks are made higher in the rear so that when you haul something heavy they level out.
