how to change locks on a classic car

i have a 80s el camino ive been working on but the key doesn't work in the
locks i cant find anything on youtube for an older car how different is it

You remove the door panel to access the lock. There is probably a clip (or a nut) that holds the lock in place.

The square head key is for the ignition only. The round head key is for everything else. It'd be cheaper to buy a replacement lock set that comes with 2 door lock cylinders and 1 glove box lock cylinder all coded the same. Hope that helps! Jim

also the driver side locks its self when closing but the lock dont go down so i have to lock and unlock it from the other side anyone know anything about that
