You just found out that buying an Auction vehicle should be left to the mechanics as the reason it went to auction is the vehicle had issues. Purchasing the car dirt cheap and fix it up to resell for a profit. From your description, it sounds like there are many electrical issues. No starting but cranking could be part of the antitheft, and or no fuel pressure or spark. If you have no clue where to start, I suggest having a mechanic look it over to get your started at least. What two lights light up on the dash? It would be hard to tell you want to really look for without being there with you.
