Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so i have 1984 Lincoln Town Car I was told the fuel
pump was bad so I took the fuel pump out put it in didn't
work well then I noticed the ECU was gone so I have an 87
Lincoln Town Car that I took the ECU out of and got the fuel
pump to work the car still will not start I checked everything
and started troubleshooting from the fuses to the relays
everything checked out perfect there's fuel coming to the
fuel rail but it's not going through the injectors so I'm
thinking that the injectors may be clogged or bad or maybe
even the 87 ECU don't match up for the 84 I was just
wondering if anybody could help me by explaining how to
take the injectors out of the 1984 Lincoln Town Car it's the
throttle body setup I cannot seem to get them out and I'm
afraid to break them any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Forget IT. '84 throttle body and '87 SEFI sequential injection different worlds. '87 EECIV wont function with vintage TBI.

so basically all I need is the ECU that came from the 84 Lincoln Town Car and it should solve my problem?

Yes, you need the the 1984 identical "lincoln" EEC computer...most used one will be scrap, capacitors done, just like old Marshall guitar amps!
