Install a / or look to see if yours has a fuel pump access panel. After-market shops will have a kit if needed.

U can do this yourself. empty your fuel tank to the bare min. if you have a lift great, if not jack up the rear of your lincoln AFTER going into your trunk and putting air suspension switch in the OFF position. block up your car safely as high as u need to so you can slide on your back from rear of car and look up to see your fuel pump. Unplug any connections you see going to fuel pump, U will need as much space as u can to unbolt pump. U may have to loosen straps holding tank and let it drop down on top of you. Tank is not heavy if you emptied it earlier.Pull out old pump, slide in new pump slowly, bolt pump up with new gasket. tighten straps, plug in connections add gas, prime engine by turning key to on position a few times, U should hear the sweet sound of the new pump.buzzing each time u turn key.Now crank it. good time to change your fuel inline filter before you refill tank with gas. easy to do BUT careful with plastic clips that hold gas filter in p;ace. the clips tend to be fragile. i hope i did not forget anything Good luck. get yourself a Lincoln Town Car repair book. 'Well worth the cost..
