can a aux input be added to a 2012 maxima sv model. why would nissian make this sole source to IPODs and leave out MP3 players.

i purchased a 2012 sv maxima.  i assumed a mp3 auxport would be availabe.  but i was disappointed; only an usb port is used.  it does matter when you are not interested in purchasing an ipod to listen to the great BOSE sound system. nissian needs to give the customer something that is greatly needed an aux input.  whats the purpose of a hard drive if its not large enough to hold real music.  2gigs is nothing compared to a 32 gig which should be the maxima.  help please!!!
