Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car starts fine. Runs great. But when you shift to drive
then give it gas my car will die.  I have an engine light for a
"camshaft position a open" on. Any ideas?

I don't know about shift to drive I was having issues with my first piston snapped and my oil well is dry which was a recall they had back in 2017 I had replace to fix which I ended up with the issue sixty Thousand Miles later which was about seven thousand miles past powertrain warranty. $8100 later i have a rebuilt engine in my 2016 malibu which now has only 6700 miles. This vehicle has too many problems with it.
