Battery light comes on and off

Battery light comes on and off and the
tip of the cable that is connected to the
red power post looks burnt

Have the battery load tested, inspect and replace wiring as necessary clean all contact points. Would also measure output from alternator sometimes the voltage can be either too high or too low. Voltage regulation type of issue. Hopefully it's just a battery swap out but until you have a look it could be one or more issues. Good Luck!
