2010 f350 6.4 diesel

Asked by Whiskeygirl272634 Oct 30, 2020 at 10:34 AM about the 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty Harley-Davidson Crew Cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 f350 with the 6.4. I remote started it this
morning and it started fine. After 2 minutes it shut off, the
steps dropped(power steps) and there is zero power, no
lights, no nothing. Any suggestions on things to check
would be amazing! Thank you!!

May be a dumb question, have you tried locking and unlocking with the other key fob? Maybe the alarm is freaking out

Not sure what kind of alarm it has in it. When you say no light so you mean no dash lights? Does the door chin come on with the head lights on and the door open?

Its just the factory alarm. And I mean it's completely dead. No headlights, dome light, dash lights, tail lights, nada. Turning the key and nothing happens. No clicking or anything. It started perfectly normal and then just randomly shut off a minute or two later and is dead in the water. And the drivers side power step dropped down, but not the passenger one(not sure if that's relevant or not)

Seems weird. I would think if the alternator was bad the batteries would last for more then two minutes. Your probably gonna have to find a good desire mechanic. Google has a bunch of questions regarding the remote start on those. Could be your problem
