What would be causing the heater to only blow cold air?

Asked by Dan Oct 10, 2020 at 02:22 PM about the 2003 Chrysler Sebring LX Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Sebring heats fine on the way to work (20 mile ride).  Then on my
way home when it is colder out, i only get cold air.   Sometimes it will kick in for
a minute or 2, but then it will blow cold air again.  The air conditioning works
fine.

Your thermostat could be getting stuck open. Try doing a radiator/ heater core flush to clean out debris, dirt and oil that could be interesting with your thermostat.
