Good buy??? That depends on the selling price. Now, part two... the 2011 is in most cases a good car. Jaguar got a lot of the bugs out of the car when Ford bought them.

The asking price was 22,500 the car has 42,000 miles on it ... I thought when the newer models came out ford didn't own them anymore

You're right, Ford doesn't own them anymore. What I said was " Jaguar got a lot of the bugs out of the car when Ford bought them" Now, I think they are owned by the Indian company Tata Motors since 2008.. I am not sure if they still own them or not but I think they do. 42k miles is low for a 2011 and I presume the car is in excellent condition. You don't say if you are buying from dealer or individual and that makes a difference in price. It is up to you to determine what this particular car is actually worth vs what you are willing to pay for it.

I know what you mean. I got a 2010 AMG-63 for Christmas... Luxury and speed. Only no idea what it will cost when something goes wrong. Soooo much electronics. If my answers helped, I would appreciate a check on helpful/best. Thanks
