How to line up a blend door actuator to the blend door cam?

I have a 2011 Honda civic the blend door actuator failed,  I
removed the failed unit  but when I went to put the new
actuator in I couldn't get the blend door actuator output
shaft to line up with the blend door cam.  Any help!

I got the blend door actuator in, however after plugging it in and starting the engine the fan stays on full and none of the buttons on the heater/cooling panel work not even the rear defroster. If I unplug the blend door actuator the panel buttons light up and the rear defroster works but I don't get any hot or cold air at all
