Car won't start

I just replaced the alternator in my 2003
Cadillac DeVille and now it won't start
security light is on what can I do to fix this?

Is the ground wire from alternator to body broke? Also try taking out ECM relay and putting key in ignition and turning it to acc, do not start for 5 minutes then turn key off and put relay back in. Then try to start car. Keep keys in your pocket if you get out as to not lock them in with security light on.

On this ground wire, how much voltage drop is there? Anything over .4 volt and your car will not start
