Auxiliary output watts

Asked by CarCA23 Apr 03, 2024 at 08:03 PM about the 2010 Ford Taurus Limited

Question type: General

Anyone know the watt output on the auxiliary port on
a 2010 ford Taurus limited I’m thinking of charging my
laptop uses over 100 watts just don’t wanna risk
blowing any fuses

1 Answer

157,475

Power (watts) equals voltage times amperage (current). 12 volts times 5 amps would be 60 watts, charging voltage will be closer to 14.5 volts. You will probably be good for about 400 watts and maybe a bit more.
