WHAT NIS NORMAL RPM @ 70 MPH??

I can't say specifically for your car, because I don't know what engine and transmission it has, but my 2000 Taurus with a 3.0L and auto tranny usually runs around 24-2500 rpm at 70 mph. Most cars with overdrive will fall into this range I believe, though I've noted that other vehicles I've driven with similar equipment but with no overdrive tend to run closer to 3000 rpm at the same speed.

I have a 2004 Taurus with 3.0l engine. With my scanner connected it idles in park between 659 to 739 rpm
